5 Pieces to To Try Right Now

It's fall, which means a new fashion season is officially upon us. If you are anything like me, then that also means that you need some adjustments to your wardrobe.

Fashionistas, you don't have to break the bank (nothing here will be over $80) to update your wardrobe with the season's hottest looks. Check out these five types of pieces (merely suggestions) and why I think they could possibly be a great addition to your closet this year.

A Simple Turtleneck Sweater for Layering:

Never underestimate the power of a great basic. These turtlenecks and mock necks come in great neutrals like black, taupe, navy, and gray. The fine knit means that they are easy to layer under vests, ponchos, blazers, etc...The simple details like the gold accent buttons also make them great to pair with your bolder pants and skirts. These lovelies are only $35 apiece, and I think that these are a timeless classic that you will reach for over and over again.

A Moto Jacket:

A moto jacket makes a fashionable and functional alternative to a blazer. This Brown Faux Suede Jacket can be paired over blouses and turtlenecks (see above) . For a casual look, pair it over tees and tanks. A night out? Throw it on over a dress or cami.

Anything Faux Fur:

Faux fur is having a major moment right now. Thanks to great fabrics, getting the look and feel of real fur is happening. There is something so luxe and snuggly about these soft materials. In many ways, they are a classic just gaining new appreciation. A vest and jacket can add some elegance to a simple outfit. Or, throw it on over your party duds to finish off a "night-out" look.

A Skirt:

Skirts are a fun and easy way to feel super chic and put-together. I get a jeans rut, and seem to forget that it is, in fact, okay to show my legs. Don't want bare legs? Just add black tights. (I don't care what any other style blog says, I will NEVER give them up.) Bonus: add little booties for a very current and stylish look. They also make a great option for holiday attire!

(Olive circle skirt coming soon.)

(Swiss Dot Skirt coming soon.)

An Updated "Little Black Dress" :

Just in time for the holiday season! Where can't you wear a "little black dress"? We think this offers a great option if you don't want to show your arms, or if you want a comfortable and versatile black dress option.

What do you think? What are some looks that you think we should try right now?
