If are interested in history and local ghost stories, I encourage you to check out my newest hobby. I have started a blog series where I explore the local legend of Annie-Mary Twente. You can view my blog at A Haunting Legacy: The True Story of Annie-Mary Twente. You can also follow the Facebook page.
I have always had a keen interest in history, and I even recall the first time I heard the haunting story of the little girl supposedly buried alive outside of Hanska, MN in the late 1800s. Rumor has it that her spirit haunted the land for years to follow. High schoolers had their nerves tested by visiting the eerie site and waiting for spooky things to happen. Stories also persist about the strange man who was her father - Richard Twente.
Was she truly buried alive? Was her father insane? What happened to the family after her death? What about the hauntings? These are all things I have wanted to explore ever since the age of 12, when I was growing up outside of Butternut, MN. (Not far from the site of her death.)
Please take a peek at my new series in its infancy. In the first blog post I give an introduction to my plan for the blog. I will tell you that my research of is particular interest. Why? Well, you see, I am married to her great-great nephew. My journey will reveal some never-seen-before info, family accounts, and primary source documents.
Stay tuned to a A Haunting Legacy: The True Story of Annie-Mary Twente.
