A Smattering of Information

Jun 6, 2017

Whenever I start to feel stressed out, I make a list. Lists comfort me, and I love the satisfaction I feel when I check an item off as completed. People tease me about this habit. It's now, apparently, carrying over to the blog.

In list format, here is some information that I feel like sharing. (I couldn't make it flow into a readable blog post. This calls for a list!)

A Smattering of Information:

1. For those of you not from Mankato, our lovely store (which will be inside the Mankato Union Depot), is located right next to the beautiful Mankato Flood Wall Mural. If you come by to check us out in the future, be sure to stop and admire this. I love that we will be able to see these all of the time!

2. Did I mention in the last blog post that we have a nice, spacious parking lot? Well, we do! Or, we will. You get the idea... Anyway, we think this will be majorly appreciated during those cold, blustery MN days. Plus, there is even a covered walkway right to our door from the the parking lot. I also love that we are close enough to sneak across the street to catch a hockey game or concert at the Verizon Civic Center right across the street.

3. This week we are tackling the floors. We are ripping out old carpeting and installing some beautifully rustic looking laminate. Here I am in the midst of paint swatches and looking like a ragamuffin. (I feel like this board is slimming. #styletip)

4. We will have some items exclusive to the store location, and not the website. Don't fret. If I post something on Facebook or Instagram, you will be able to put something on hold for local pick-up. Plus, for online items, we will have an option to order online and do a pick-up instead of paying for shipping.

5. Finally, if you know of any local antique stores selling vintage photos of Mankato circa the late 1800s or early 1900s (especially the Union Depot), keep me posted! I think it will be great to bring some of these in for decorating the new space.

Cheers!
