A Little Background...And a Sneak Peek!

Greetings!
In case you haven't heard our news, we will be opening our first brick and mortar location in beautiful downtown Mankato, MN, at the very beginning of August. Even more exciting, it's in our DREAM location, which is the historic Mankato Union Depot.

So, why is it our dream location? That's easy. Mr. Rose and I have a love of history and buildings and places that tell a story. (I would also like to add that Mr. Rose has a real passion for trains, so this was a major selling point for him.)
Mankato has a rich and storied background, and the Union Depot has been in the backdrop for much of it. Plus, there has been a huge focus on revitalizing this part of Mankato, so now is a great time to join this part of the city. (Did we mention that we will be right across the street from the Verizon Wireless Center?) We will be right in the heart of great restaurants, shopping, cityart, and local history. Plus, we will have a huge parking lot! Anyone who knows about downtown locations knows that parking can be an issue, so this was another major selling point for us. (Winter in MN can be brutal people. No one has time to walk in negative temps...)
We have our work cut out for us. This has never been a retail space, so we have two months to get the store ready! First up, we need new flooring and to paint the walls. We may also press our luck with some wall paper. (SEND HELP.) Here are some "before" pictures.
