Something is missing, and many of us have talked about it...
Have you ever felt that there are tons of clothing options if you are under the age of 20 or over 75? Maybe not in urban areas, but if you live in an area with limited options, I bet you have felt this. Or, if you were like me (pre Vivian Rose Boutique), then I bet you found yourself going to multiple sites looking for pieces that could work for you. Maybe you like tops from this place, pants from another store, you get your shoes online, etc...
Don't get me wrong. I still shop other places. The fashion hoarder in me will never die. I need options. Plus, Vivian Rose doesn't carry everything (yet.) For instance, I LOOOOVEEEE T.J. Maxx. However, I just never know what I will find there. This is great if you have lots of time and energy to shop, but what about if you need to find something in a hurry? Or, you need something specific, like blouses for work. What then?
When I started talking to working women and women looking for REAL options for work and play, I discovered that lots of us are feeling this frustation. Plus, it's only grown since many retailers are leaving the market place. This brings me to my business point. Before you start a business, it's best to find the proverbial "hole in the market place". Here is mine - I need a place where women can find clothing options that they can mix and match to achieve outfits for both relaxed and professional days. Plus, I don't want it to break the bank and the options must be good quality.
I rattled this off in a hurry, so I hope this post isn't riddle with embarassing mistakes. But, now you know what I am going for. I would love to hear what you think. What are we getting right? Where should we improve? What other stores get it right?
Happy shopping,
S
