Current Obsessions - February and March Edition

I have decided that it may be fun for me to start sharing some of my monthly favorites. So, here are some of my favorite beauty, fashion, books, tv, and movies from February and March.

Schitt's Creek - Are you watching this show? You need to be watching this show. (You can find it on Netflix and Amazon.) Follow the Rose family as they lose all of their wealth and are forced to relocate to the interesting little haven of "Schitt's Creek". It's full of quirky characters and ridiculous scenarios. It's snarky, but not mean-spirited. Some of you may know that my favorite show of all time is Parks and Recreation, so this is definitlely filling a hole in my dark little heart since Parks and Rec has ended. (Bonus: It stas Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara.)

Big Little Lies- I read this book by Liane Moriarty in two sittings (both of which occured on a plane.) I was so enraptured, I didn't even care about the turbulence. Newsflash: I ALWAYS care about turbulence. I think there may have also been times that I forgot to breathe. Needless to say, I have also been watching the television adaptation on HBO.

Loafers- Flat, heeled, brown, black, patent, suede... I don't care. I am obsessed. They feel like a breath of fresh air. I love pairing them with all kinds of looks.

These dresses by Vivian Rose Boutique (Obviously)- I love that they are comfortable, yet I feel business appropriate when wearing them. They are especially great for travel.

Olaplex - Thanks to my stylist, Tiffany, I am now on the Olaplex bandwagon. I can't explain the magic behind this treatment, but it has made a huge difference in the health of my hair. I have very dark, coarse hair. I use a lot of heat, which can lead to breakage. This has really help prevent those nasty white ends that come with heat styling.

Foudation and Concealer - I am embarassed to say that I am a bit of a make-up snob. I love higher-end brands and trying new things from Ulta and Sephora. So, this new favorite combo comes as a bit of a surprise. I have aging skin (yikes), and I also have combination skin, which can can get quite oily in the T- zone. I also worry about undereye wrinkles. I have them, but I would like to hide them.

Wet N' Wild Photo Focus Foundation is super affordable, and it looks great all day. It's not too heavy, but I feel covered without a layer of cake on my face.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Concealer- This is pretty spendy for the drugstore, but it's worth it. It glides on AND the hydration helps plump the undereye to diminish the look of fine lines. It doesn't budge either.

What are your current obsessions?

Love,

s
